Whenever you lose HP on your turn, gain 1 Strength.
Rupture is the primary scaling engine for self-damage builds, converting the health-loss penalties of Ironclad's most efficient cards into permanent Strength. It is strongest in long boss fights where you can trigger HP loss multiple times per turn to outpace the enemy's damage scaling.
Bloodletting
This card provides the necessary Energy to play your attacks while directly triggering Rupture's Strength gain. It effectively turns a resource-generation skill into a scaling tool.
Crimson Mantle
This power ensures Rupture triggers automatically at the start of every turn by dealing 1 HP damage to you. The accompanying Block helps mitigate the health loss, making the Strength accumulation much safer.
Inferno
Inferno shares the exact same trigger condition as Rupture, adding 6 AOE damage to every instance of self-inflicted HP loss. Together, they transform self-damage cards into massive offensive swings that provide both immediate damage and long-term scaling.
Black Blood
Since Rupture requires you to consistently lose HP to be effective, this relic provides the essential post-combat sustain. It allows you to aggressively spend your health pool for Strength scaling without falling into a lethal HP range over the course of an Act.
