Demonic Shield is a powerful support tool in co-op play that allows the Ironclad to act as a primary tank by transferring his accumulated defenses to a teammate. It is most effective when used after massive block-generating turns or when an ally is targeted by a lethal attack they cannot block themselves.
Barricade
Barricade prevents block from expiring at the start of the turn, allowing the Ironclad to build up a massive total that can then be transferred to an ally via Demonic Shield.
Rupture
Because Demonic Shield costs 0 Energy and forces the player to lose 1 HP, it serves as a free trigger for Rupture to scale Strength every time it is played.
Unmovable
Unmovable doubles the first block gain of the turn, which significantly inflates the current block value that Demonic Shield uses for its transfer calculation.
Self-Forming Clay
The self-damage from Demonic Shield triggers this relic, granting the Ironclad 3 Block to ensure he retains a small defensive layer even after giving his main block away.
Feel No Pain
As Demonic Shield exhausts upon use, Feel No Pain provides immediate block that can potentially be factored into the transfer or provide a safety net for the user.
