Pillage is exceptionally strong in decks with high Attack density, acting as a powerful draw engine to cycle through the deck quickly. It is best used early in the turn to fill the hand with offensive options before committing to a specific line of play.
Fiend Fire
Pillage fills the hand with Attacks, which Fiend Fire can then exhaust to deal massive burst damage based on the increased hand size. This combination converts a hand of low-impact Attacks into a single high-damage finisher.
Rage
Since Pillage draws a sequence of Attacks, it provides the necessary fuel to generate significant Block via Rage in a single turn. This allows the Ironclad to maintain an aggressive offensive while simultaneously building a strong defense.
Shuriken
Pillage ensures the hand is replenished with offensive options, making it much easier to consistently play three or more Attacks in a single turn. This reliably triggers the Strength gain from Shuriken to scale damage throughout the combat.
Corruption
By exhausting Skills, Corruption increases the relative density of Attacks in the Draw Pile, allowing Pillage to draw more cards before being stopped by a non-Attack. It also helps find the Skills that now cost zero energy to play alongside the drawn Attacks.
