💡 How to Use
Darkness is a core scaling tool for Dark Orb builds, allowing the player to manually accelerate the damage growth of their orbs. It is most effective when played repeatedly in a deck with high Focus or multiple Dark Orbs to set up a massive finishing blow.
⚡ Synergies
Gold-Plated Cables
This relic triggers the rightmost orb's passive an additional time, which stacks with Darkness to double the damage growth of your primary Dark Orb. It significantly reduces the number of turns needed to reach lethal damage.
Multi-Cast
Once Darkness has scaled a Dark Orb to high damage values, Multi-Cast can evoke that orb multiple times to end the fight instantly. This pair is the standard finisher combo for Defect's Dark builds.
Loop
Loop provides a passive trigger for the rightmost orb every turn, which complements the active trigger from Darkness. This synergy ensures that your Dark Orbs scale rapidly even on turns where you do not draw Darkness.
Consuming Shadow
This card provides the Dark Orbs that Darkness needs to be effective while also providing a way to evoke them. Darkness ensures that the orbs created by Consuming Shadow are sufficiently powered up before they are automatically evoked at the end of the turn.
